Frequently asked questions
Will resizing reduce my image quality?
Resizing down (making an image smaller) doesn't meaningfully affect quality. Resizing up (enlarging) a small image will look softer since new pixels have to be generated from the existing ones — there's no way around that with a plain resize.
Can I resize many images to the same dimensions at once?
Yes — upload a batch and apply one set of dimensions to all of them, or override the settings for individual images that need something different.
What's the difference between resizing and cropping?
Resizing changes the overall pixel dimensions of an image. Cropping removes part of the image to change its shape. When your target dimensions have a different aspect ratio than the original, resizing includes an automatic crop step to fill the frame without stretching.
